... climbed into bed. I think I must have slept most of the afternoon.

Met a couple of guys from Chile and Brazil that evening and had a good old chat with them and they gave me some tips of places to visit.

The hostel is amazing. So clean and tidy and lovely people staying here. I hope my back gets better soon so that I can enjoy wandering around the streets of Santiago.

... sprak niemand Engels om op een duidelijke manier uit te leggen hoe ik daar moest komen. Mijn huisbazin had me de tip gegeven een bepaalde bus te nemen, voor 11 dollar, omdat dat de makkelijkste manier was, maar die kon ik nergens vinden. Er waren overal taxi-chauffeurs om me heen aan het dralen, omdat ze natuurlijk zagen dat ik niet wist waar ik heen moest. Ik heb toen dus toch maar mijn best Spaanse beentje voor gezet, en ben met een gewone lijnbus en de metro bij ...

... eerst of het geen toeval was maar toen ze met hun auto in de verkeerde richting van een eenrichtingsverkeer straat reden waren we zeker.Uiteindelijk namen we nog het kabeltreintje en deden we een leuk wandelingetje naar beneden langs huisjes die ooit heel charmant moesten geweest zijn, aten we lekker in een restaurant in de vorm van een boot en liepen we nog langs het strand waar we wat zeehonden zagen.
