Today Sonia & I went to see the Chateau Brissac, which dates back to 1620. Sonia's host mom was nice enough to take us-- it is about a 10 minute ride from Angers. Unfortunately it was breezy, cool and overcast today, but we had a ball. It is so neat to tour the old castles and imagine what person stood where we ...

Today I struck off early to have a bit of vacation time after spending until 11 or 12:00 at night working on homework. We also checked out a famous luxury chocolate store that specialised in the local delicacy - blue chocolate. Yes that's right it was blue. Needless to say we had to buy some to try later. Next we headed down to the river to check out the castle. The Château d'Angers was built in the 9th Century and has been the home for both French and ...

... had a bike the trip began. The journey along the Loire river is beautiful. Full of birds, trees, cottages, and lovely old towns with stone buildings and cobbled streets. We also passed a variety of farm animals and some vineyards.
For lunch we found a little picnic area with some tables, it was on an island where another small old village was located. Lunch consisted of an entree of ghost chips (chips shaped like ghosts), a main meal ...
