Tuesday - We skyped Darrens family then met up with the couple we were going to move in with. They are living further west about 24 miles in Eagle...we met them at loaded joe's then went for a walk with their dog to the park. The weather turned and we were in pretty hard rain so headed back...this place is even beautiful in the rain.

... put his GoPro on the roof so it took a picture every 2 seconds....the results are attached as a time lapse. Once we got to the top, we stopped off for a bit and walked around, however we were over 12,000 feet and their was sleet so it was pretty cold!! I think when we looked it was about 44 F which I believe is around 6/7 C. Brrrrr

... Highway 6 and the back is just by a river, however we couldn't see any easy way to get back there so thought we would investigate. We headed out on Highway 6 as there is a large hard shoulder and walked until we could finally join onto the trail that runs next to the river...such a shame that you have to walk on a highway hard shoulder to get to it. It was so lucky to reach the Rockies when the Aspen trees were wearing their golden colour. It does not happen for long so I enjoy my week there with Pickles and for few days with Theo before he flew back to London.
My french friends would say that the Rockies don't have the majesty of the french Alps but I love their softness and the fact that you can reach the summit within few hours but still can climb verticals ...
