      ... the Spring. The Blue Angels practicing at Pensacola, the dolphins dancing in the waves, the shrimp boats in the marina on the Bon Secour River, the barges being pushed down the canal, the stilt houses and condos lining the beach dunes are permanently etched as memories. It is truly a great place to vacation in the Spring. I am looking forward to returning next year.

      ... on the other. The island is not more that a couple hundred yards wide in places. The fort is part of the National Park System so there is no development on this part of the barrier island. It’s really pretty deserted right now.

      Interesting note: The white sand is ground quartz that has was down the rivers over millennia from the Appalachian Mountains. Who knew water and time could make such beautiful sand from mountain rocks? ...

      ... Hutchins, the way he looked and sang. He was a very good performer, and made all the songs seem like originals. We spoke to some locals, and they seemed to agree that the weather was abnormal, so we did it again – managed to hit the bad weather!!
