We went back to our camp site, started a fire and grilled some delish pork chops and corn on the cobb. Half way through dinner it started pouring with rain again! We raced back inside. The rain didn't last too long but by then I'd changed into dry clothes and was too tired to go back out again. We called it a night.

This part of the trip would take us through the deep southern state of Mississippi and into Alabama. I could have taken the Interstate 10, but opted to travel on Highway 90. This route follows the Gulf of Mexico coastline and is a special drive. The white sands of the Gulf and the blue of the water ...
... everything we saw - the white sandy beaches and the wooden clad bars. Each day was fun packed starting with a morning workout in their garage, courtesy of Heather who put us through our paces with exercises that we hadn't been accustomed to for a while. This routine was a good addition as we ate a lot of fried food and drank a lot of beer during our stay so it kept us alive!

Larry didn't come in, so here are pix of me with a boyfriend I found inside, and of Josh and me on those incredible stairs. Oh, and one of Josh with a pelican statue. I do need to add another photo looking up those stairs. Josh was peeking down in one, when I had stopped on a window ledge, so we'll include that one.
