So after all our previous cruises we finally found the perfect hotel in Ft Lauderdale. The Courtyard at the airport is only ten minutes away from the Princess cruise terminal with a gas station as you drive out. Perfect. Pulled into the cruise parking garage basically next to the ship. ... We saw several cruise ships headed south and many cargo and oil ships. We paralleled the coast of Cuba most of the daylight hours.

Annie kept busy with a wine tasting and a class on making animals out of towels. I watched a movie I’ve had on my iPad for months and never got to. Like I said, it was a quiet day.

We enjoyed a fantastic final dinner with Roger and Marilyn at the Pinnacle Grill. Too much food, but it was a perfect setting to end our cruise.

... with couches, cabanas, beach balls, outdoor showers, (on a very small scale) you get the idea. We sat out there in short sleeves, flip flops, with the moon rising over the patio. It's a FAR cry from the evenings in Sacramento lately...
