... the entire structure. Ticket and audio collection was efficient, a Castle guide was promoting a free short guided tour that took you to the top of the Castle from where you could make your own way down. Seemed like a good plan and so I happily tagged along. Our guide 'Mark' passionate and keen, kept us moving and informed, I saw throughout the day taking other tours or dispensing advice. Left to my own devices, very glad I had paid for the audio guide it covered so much, I ...

Sim and I went last year but seeing as we had Dad Davidson with us we thought we should take him to see it (I wasn't going to complain about going back a second time to see it either really)! The had some pretty awesome Zulu drummers perform during it and for us were probably the stand out performance. We had booked to go to the later performance that night so it didn't start until 9:30pm and ...

... King David I is said to have seen between the antlers of a stay he was hunting there in 1128. We saw many rooms and exhibits including the Throne Room and Royal Dining Room, the Long Gallery, We saw the room where Lord Darnley, the jealous husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, killed her secretary, David Rizzo. We also saw the ruin of the Abbey next to the palace. Now it was time to head back to the hotel.

There were eight of us ...
