... Louisiana we stayed at Chicot State Park. Chicot is surrounded by water and bogs, you know what that means right - Alligators!! We unfortunately we didn't see any. Although I am keen to spot one I would love it to be from the top of a bridge or a car. Not riding right next to one or deciding to sit down for lunch next to one... We ended up with a 7 hour drive plus the hour that ...

We finally had to accept defeat and gathered up our stuff now wet and covered in sand and made our way back to the safety of the patio at the Inn. We stood there for a bit just enjoying the rain and then decided to come inside. It looks like an all day rain. I sure hope ...

... view all around of the ocean and the dunes of the state park. The ocean color is gorgeous. We were greeted in the room with chocolates, grapes and a bottle of wine and soft music playing. So romantic. I think it is just what we needed. We also arrived during happy hour and had a few drinks. Complimentary!! We decided to go to the beach and watch the sunset but it was sort of crushed by the storms in the distance. ...
