What an early start it was today! Was woken up at 2.50am as the kids had to be out of the hostel at 3.30am to be at the airport for 4am so I got up too, to say goodbye to everyone. Keretina & Hanna bought me a little gift of macaroons with a note saying how much they appreciated me being there & thankful for my generosity for paying for the snake holding & photo at the zoo the other day! Made me cry because I did not expect anything at all ...

... news here in Australia are more concerned how many Australians are killed in this Terror act than with the act itself...... does it really matter where some of the Dead are coming from? Every Live lost is an Live lost regardless of Nationality......... My thoughts are with all the Families affected .... TERRIBLE ...

... until the cleaner kicked us out. The next day we rented surfboards. But the waves were too high and it was more like 'Trying not to drown’. We soon figured out that it’s pretty dangerous and gave up. Later we heard that one man died that day and we saw someone seriously injured. After a hot shower, we met up for a cider in Bondi ice bergs. What a view! After that we drove to Bondi Junction to go shopping and ended up going to Bondi Beach ...
