Long grueling day

A travel blog entry by christim on Dec 27, 2014

... cool.

I arrived at my hotel and my traveling companions, Frank and Steve, were awaiting my arrival so we could get to know one another. After a pina colada, tilapia dinner, and a shower, I'm beyond ready for bed. Tomorrow starts at 6am with a guided walk around the gardens of our hotel... hoping to see a Squirrel Cuckoo and several different types of hummingbirds... followed by a volcano hike and tons more birds! Good night!

... end. I tried what looked like possible paths but they all seemed to end as well. Not wanting to get lost, I decided to retrace my steps back to where I started. All up I was in the jungle for 7 hours. I used up my 2 litres of water (3 would have been nice), walked through ankle-deep mud, fell on my backside a few times, and generally had fun. Somewhere along the way I was in the Corcovado. I was a bit shattered when I ...

... entity it is today. She is also involved in advocating for disability rights, ensuring the newly implemented laws are followed; as well as helping develop a senior center. What an amazing woman! I spoke with her about domestic violence laws in CR. They do not have shelters, instead when a domestic violence case begins, the man must leave the house until the trial. She recognizes problems with this system, but says it is a start. All of this discussion ...
