... are all "regular" people that live in the villages - they work in local businesses, hotels, etc. There is a huge Indian influence here that I wasn't expecting. So Native, British, Indian and then a mix. The curry here is outstanding. Mom you would also love the native use of coconut. It's everywhere - drinks, desserts. They cook their rice in coconut water. Delicious!

Bula everybody, If there is one thing I've taken from Fiji it is the word Bula which can mean just about anything it seems but generally is used as a greeting. Fiji isn't the best place to catch up on wifi so I have written quite a long post for the whole of Fiji! I took my first connecting flight from Sydney to Fiji to arrive in Nadi at 6pm. ... out.. Was the best part of this trip so far!! Then had a nice cold but refreshing shower, washed my hair and felt more human, got changed and had dinner with the girls. As it was the Dawli festival(Indian Festival of Lights) which they celebrate in Fiji we had Indian food for dinner, which was very spicy and not ever nice!! But at least I can say I tried it�� after dinner we chilled out in the hammocks and chatted then went to bed ...
