... the kids played briefly at a playground that we'd visited four years prior. My memory of the playground was of a place with big, impressive equipment, when seeing our older kids on it now I realize it's really neither big nor impressive (though very nice for younger kids).

... ups later and we're on our way. We soon learn that Nige is a bit of a talker, but has a fountain of knowledge. He was telling us all about the recent bush fires and that Australia lone the helicopters out from the USA which is surprisingly cheaper than buying them. About 5 weeks ago there was a big bush fire up in the mountains, Nige said that the helicopters use to put the fires out can drain an Olympic sized swimming pool in 50 seconds. That's a lot of ...

... was leaving Sydney :( , so met up with Scott and hazel again and went to the beach . Was a beautiful beach called cruenella lovely views and not too busy and no sharks which was handy, so spent the afternoon relaxing in the beach or sea enjoying the 30 temp in December before heading into the local town for some food . We decided to have some sushi which prob wasn't the best choice as raw fish and raw egg were not my favourite dishes but an experience . Headed ...

... da das Wetter am Strand angekommen dann aber leider nicht so recht mitspielte, entschieden wir uns stattdessen für eine kleine Wanderung entlang der Küste. Besonders gefallen hat mir “The Rocks”, ein Stadtteil Sydneys, in welchem sich die ersten europäischen Siedler niederließen und in welchem viele alte Gebäude erhalten wurden, welche heute -teilweise in schmalen Gassen- Pubs, Restaurants und sogar einem deutschen Biergarten dienen.
