Next to that, the British pubs and famous Empress Hotel are the other clear signals that Europeans have been and ruled here. That's also right away where the similarities with Europe come to an end. A bustling China town and old, wild-west-looking warehouses define the streetscape of Victoria. I would call these first hours we spent in the city, orientation hours.

... 8220;Weir’s campground”. Our trailer overlooks the ocean, and we fall asleep each night to the sound of the surf on the white sandy beach. This afternoon, we spotted 3 Orca whales swimming by, but were dismayed with the six whale watching tour boats that hounded the whales as they were feeding. ... he didn't see me for five weeks, and I had changed so much mentally, spiritually and physically, it came as a real eye opener for him. He was thrilled at first to see me looking so good, and kept remarking about how much weight I had lost.

Gradually, however, I noticed that he was not acting very happy at my new persona. Suddenly I was not dropping everything for him and was taking my own needs into account. I was still there for him every day, making him meals etc...but ...
