Stayed at home today, detailing the car and getting ready to hit the road tomorrow. Major Betty cracked her whip and had us working double time to get the Mercedes ship shape for our road trip. We went to Jessica's for lunch before visiting the Greenwood Aviation Museum. Jack Britney offered on be our guide -- reminded us of Rose Coe in many respects. Had some cute stories to tell ...

This excursion took us to OIA, Greece. It is a typical Greek village, located on a high hilltop with narrow streets and white churches with blue domes. So glad we did as we got to see the donkeys carrying people up and down the ...

Plus, raising animals for meat, apart from the cruelty, uses more water than almonds. Of ...

Marc and Dave and I set out for an adventure drive along the pacific coast today. We made a quick stop at Margies, home of the too-big servings and had too-big servings of lunch. It was good actually. I had the veggie burger again, but I asked the waitress if she could have avocado put on the burger and she did, so my burger was even better than the one I had the other day. I ...

    Plan c...phi phi island

A travel blog entry by natasha.strong on May 11, 2015

So after a slight detour to phi phi we are on our way to puket. The islands we originally wanted to go to from krabi had been hit by an earthquake of 7.4 two days before we arrived so no boats were going there. Plan b was to go to a local island but as it was low season tourist boats had stopped going there as well. So plan c was phi phi. At first I was reluctant as phi phi is party central on this side of the thai islands but in true travelers style ...
