    It was heavenly

    from

We stayed there last summer for a week. It was heavenly. This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was like being at home, only I did not have to do the cleaning. We got up eahc morning had breakfast put on our bathing suits and hung out at the beach and when we grew tired of that we hung out at the pool. The view from your balcony is awesome. Plan on visiting there again this year.

Wonderful Place to Stay! Loved it!

    from

The Sandcastle is an excellent place to stay for an excellent price!

You are right on the beach, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the entire property is clean, and you just feel like you have no worries while you are there. The first night we were there was the last night of Spring Break, so we did hear lots of college kids on the beach having a good time, but we were able to sleep through it. Also, the shower IS dark. The only light in the bathroom is over the mirror, which does not provide a lot of light in the shower area, but it's not that bad. The room was clean, and maid service replaced towels and sheets each day. The grounds were very clean, covered parking was available for free, and security guards watch the entrance to make sure only hotel guests are parking there. You are not far from town, and being by the beach is great! We started planning our next trip to POrt Aransas and the Sandcastle Condominiums before we had even checked out!

    We loved it there!

A grat place to stay !

    from

the effeciency rooms , especially the view from the balcony , was superb. located within short distance to anything in Port Aransas. the staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to all attractions around town and the surrounding area. just an all around wonderful vacation to get away from everyday life and watch the waves come in! can't wait to stay there again next summer.

Nice Stay - Couch Worn - Drapes Hanging From Railing

    from

My husband and I stayed at the Sandcastle Condominiums for our anniversary (October 31 and November 1) (Room 436). It was a pleasant stay. Positives: Boardwalk to the beach, courteous staff in lobby area, clean room; ample space for an efficiency; very comfortable bedding and pillows; clean pool area.

Negatives: Poor lighting in bathroom, basically showered in the dark; sofa couch worn where stuffing was actually showing through; television did not have a remote control - husband had to go to front desk and request a remote; was not able to hook up our portable dvd movie player to the television; portions of curtains were hanging from the support railing; bathroom showed signs of wear -peeling of wallpaper.

    On a scale a 1 to 10, I rate the Sandcastle a 8. Would stay here again.

Sand castle is one of the best

    from

My first time at the sand castle it was the best place for my needs. I will definetly be returning to stay on my next visit. The effeciency was clean modern very nice and private. Employee's were very nice seemed to enjoy working environment. Friendly polite front desk service. Owners should be very proud.

    Great Place to just be

    from

We have been there 3 time now and it's always been great, clean, quiet, just wonderful. I will say however if you don't like the morning sun shining in, ask, for a room on the north side. If you like to see the ships comming in and out, get a room on the south side.

    Good Place To Stay

    from

Some of my family members stayed here during the last weekend in August 2003. Rooms were spacious and in good condition. Comfortable furniture.

Large pool and two large hottubs. Short boardwalk to beach. Good location in town. Good sized rooms. Excellent views of beach and pool.

Not as large as other newer condo properties so you are never far from your room no matter where you are on the property. End rooms have HUGE balconies.

This will be our accommodations of choice on future trips.

    Family Reunion Spot!

    from

We have been staying in Port Arnasas for the past 20 years, and the Sandcastle has been our top pick for the past 7 years. We love this condo. Very nice, clean, and people are very friendly. Decorations are very tastful and cute! Infact, we have a room booked for next weekend.

    I can't wait!

    Wonderful fun in the sun

    from

The Sand Castle is always a great place to stay....freindly staff, clean rooms, and good family fun on the beach.

... Mark lost his Colorado hat (that he had somehow held on to the whole year) in the Corpus Christi airport. But the day wasn't all bad. Our long layover in Dallas meant that we had time to scarf down Qdoba burritos (Chipotle has to wait until Colorado). Mark re-filled his coke with a giant smile on his face - something he's been looking forward to. We also drank from water fountains, used the toilet paper, ...

And camp along the shores were ever we felt like stopping. The things I've learned from this trip 1. I may be a nudist 2. The Chinese buffet by padre island is awesome! 3. Being a bird by the beach seems like a chill life. Song of the day, Probaly my first repeat. Life is beautiful- side ...

... tornado touch down near Alice, Texas. It was amazing how fast we found the little tiny town of Alice, Texas on the map, started to track the path as the news gave us updates, prepared ourselves for a fast “escape”, and watched as the rogue threat found its way skyward. Afterwards, we thought to ourselves, if a tornado comes close to us down here, where in the hell are we going? Trying to get off an island with 10,000 other cars trying to do the very same ...

... where he could play in the sand. It was very crowded so I suggested that we return to the campground and go to the beach area where it hopefully would be less crowded, so I called Bob to pick us up and we started walking to the rendezvous area. We walked on one of the boardwalks which led to a hotel area. As we walked to the entrance road, I spotted a security guard and asked him the way out to the road. All he was interested ...

... luncheon at 11:30. Don't know why it's called the Red Hat/ROMEO luncheon. The ROMEO part is "Retired Old Men Eating Out", so that fits, but no one wears a red hat. Anyway we were at this Seafood & Spaghetti Restaurant which probably seats about 80 and there were about 60 of us. Actually I think more showed up than they were expecting since they had to add a few more tables to the set up. The ...
