      ... somewhat nicely kept up given that there wasn't much going on there. It's adjacent to Norfolk, a giant military city.

    • Norfolk, home to the east coast's largest Navy fleet, was insane - both traffic wise and people-wise. Couldn't get near the base of course, so I headed to Virginia Beach for the night, 20 minutes away.

      ... very sweet people.Then got geared up to grab lunch (delicious mexican food) and pick up Joel to head to the beach!       Last night at dinner, disaster struck! Joan lost a tooth from her bridge - front tooth no less.

      After a trip to the ship's doctor, arrangements were made for her to see a dentist in New York City when we arrived there. Understandably, Joan did not want to spend a month traveling while missing her front tooth.
