... along the promenade to find ice cream, unfortunately, Lorna managed to kick a lump of concrete in her flip flops and the concrete won!! A nasty lump out of the end of her pinky which has meant a bit of limping and lots of germolene and salt baths to try and sort it out!! It's much better after 5 days and now more of a nuisance than anything else... We went for a posh night last night and headed to a fancy restaurant on the front, both of ...

Barcelona is the capital of the Catalonia "autonomous community" within Spain, which had been independent for longer than it has been part of Spain proper. They speak Catalan primarily, not Spanish, and they are fiercely independent. Jeff had mentioned this several times ...

Our flight was on a regional jet, flown by TAP's subsidiary Portugalia Airways. It was completely full, but we took off on time. It was a two-hour-plus flight, which coupled with the loss of an hour due to a new timezone, meant we didn't arrive until almost 5:00pm. All of our bags were off the carousel very quickly...except for one. Barbara's bag had gone missing, along with those of many other people from our flight. Turns out the plane had been overweight, ...
