... to jet lag and walked a different route through my hotel that led me through a small neighborhood market. It was both fascinating and smelly. ... having mixed feelings: on one hand, I was envious of them: of their long stretches of free time, of their super flexible itineraries, of their care-free youth... but on the other hand, I wanted to return to my Shangri-La at the end of the day - with it's serene luxury, its cocktail hours, its turndown service...
