... 30 and managed to board a bus. We had to wait until it was full before we left. At least it was comfortable and had aircon and was far cheaper than a taxi...4000 Pesos for a taxi and 310 Pesos for both of us on bus. Finally on our way to Oslob. The journey took 3 hours with a few stops but wasn't too bad. Eventually we were dropped in Oslob in a street..had a man approach us and offered to show us some places. First one was 2000 with a broken shower..think this was just cause we were ...

Cannot believe today is exactly half way point through of the programme. The last 6 weeks were a proper roller coaster- with lots of dramas, tons of tears, lost count of hugs, battle the conflicts, laughs infection and sharing the funnies and horrors experiences. Certain I couldn't done it without my awesome UK gang who kept each others going. MPR- mid phase review, it is all part of our training. not for just us it's happens every VSO-ICS teams in the ...

Coming from Vietnam the difference is more than a little disturbing but very welcome indeed! Ended up taking the easy option and eating in a pretty posh (for us!) restaurant...watching the 3 pet sharks swim up and down a channel by the tables.

... I was reading that because the cities or 'barangays' in the Philippines were not organized that is the way they were conquered so many times... in direct opposite this were never conquered and i see the reason why. You probably never gave much thought to your surrounding and analyzed it like this but it opens your eyes to really how things work in this world and how history set things up for today. Its very easy for a foreigner to live in Thailand and the infrastructure is great ...

... for us to catch the local bus to the pier to get to Malapascua, which even Michael says is the place to go!

Its more like we've known the guy for days, not 5 minutes!! Since we met he has paid for our jeepney, missed his stop, found our bus, apologizing because our bus has no A/C , and i have his phone number for if we are back in Cebu to give him a ring to go to his for dinner!!

So Michael, if you are reading this.... you are a ...
