We took seats closest to the cab. A few other passengers and their cargo of dried fish got on, and we took off on the very bumpy ride to Wewak.

... My first 2 days here I walked along the esplanade, swam in the lagoon (a saltwater pool by the shore because the beach is non existant), got my dive medical and booked a few things.

... to downtown. It’s totally a resort town, the feel of it on first impression felt like we were in Cancun again, but with Australian accents everywhere.
Once again, our wicked Accor Hotel special came through for us again. We were able to stay at the 5 star Pullman Reef Hotel & Casino which for us was really posh. A bit too luxurious for our usual tastes, but no one’s complaining!
