I arrived in the United Arab Emirates on January 4, 2015. The school had booked me a flight that routed me from Guadalajara, Mexico to Los Angeles and then on to a country known today as the UAE, a small oil-rich nation that is one of the "Gulf Coast" countries along with Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Hi it is late on our last night in Dubai so I will try and keep it short and sweet. A couple of days ago we went on an evening desert safari. This was very fun even with a strong level of jet lag. We got to ride around sand dunes in the desert in a 4x4! We then enjoyed a great evening of an open bar, dinner, camel riding, henna tattoo, weird Arabic coffee and belly dancers.
