... due to dust in the air. We couldn't even see The Palm, the man made islands of luxury homes .In fact we couldn't even see the sea ! Also at 45 C it was a bit warm, so we took our photos and then returned to our hotel, this time by taxi !The jet lag was hitting us by then. We were too tired to walk much further for our meal other than at the hotel, that only had an American type diner, with only us eating in it, but at least it was ...

... I was worried at first that it was going to rain when we get there, but as the driver explained, the rain in Dubai comes and goes. We then wandered up to the Gold Souk, it was about then that I ...

After that, our transfer brought us to JW Marriot hotel where Ms. Sona Rawal, Asst. Director of sales, welcomed us. She gave us an impression of Marriot as a global hotel chain. Her energy kept us awake with no chance of losing track for the next hour during our tour. We learnt about how an American chain applies its standards in ...

... think if we ever came back to Dubai this is the area to stay in. We returned to our hotel late in the afternoon and relaxed again before dinner. Tomorrow we leave at lunch time to fly out to London. We have really enjoyed Dubai. It is different to what we expected though. It is very spread out and nothing is easy to get to. There is no "central area". We have done so much walking and made use of the metro as much as we can but even from the metro sights are so ...
