We decided to go to Tahoe using a Worldmark deal. We stayed the night in El Dorado with Robin on December 29th to help break up the drive. We left bright and early to drop JT off at Heavenly daycare and we went boarding. Well we happened to go on a day where it's Tahoes coldest and windiest. We only did a few runs because only 2 lifts were opened, Stagecoach and comet. The visibility was so bad and he wind was worse. When there was a gust of wind, it was impossible to see. It ...

The next morning started with another taste explosion at the Old P.O. before heading off to Patton Beach to rendez-vous with our old friend Korri. We picked up some kayaks for Jenn's mom and Dave set off on his virgin paddle, which turned out to be one of his highlights of the trip so far. That evening, the Harris/Taggart/Schultz family converged upon Lanza's ...

Past Sacramento we began the gentle ascent up into the Sierra Nevada mountains. Shortly after we past Auburn we climbed to 1,000 ft above sea level. The scenery suddenly changed from the parched Central Valley to a seemingly endless expanse of alpine forests. We carried on along the picturesque long ascent up and over the 7,000 ft Donner pass - surely one of the most pleasant drives in America. It's ...

... up, but mostly mouthed an attempt and looked quizzically at parents. Home to decorate the tree (branch) with trinkets bought along the way. Lachy cut off a branch from one of the thousand actual pine trees. Looked a bit strang large, lanky hooded thing wandering around car park with a knife in hand at night. Not so Christmassy. But, merry Christmas to all our family and friends back home, we will be thinking of you all and thanks for your SMS, Facebook and email ...
