      6. They try to charge you for the beach. To get into beaches here, you often have to enter a state park (and pay $15 for the privilege) or pay a parking fee of $20 for parking on the street or in a lot. It’s highway robbery and it sucks.

      So, what is it like going to an amusement park with 5 kids? Expensive and tiring, but look forward to doing it again many times in the future. Love seeing the kids having a fun time :o)

      ... a long walk along the beach before dinner. This was the night of the eastern NBA finals game 7 so we decided to watch it at a bar where they had it on the big screen. We went to the clevelander bar where all the waitresses wore nothing but crop tops and bikini bottoms and we were few of the only white people in the venue.       ... to a cigar factory/shop and watched a guy manually rolling a cigar. Pretty interesting. I bought a box of 5 big stoggies that Al Capone would have been proud of.       ... last time we were in the down market hostel section. The hotel's rooms almost cover the first floor of a city block over the top of all the shops. Miami Beach is very busy and crowded, and parking is almost non-existent, but it's lovely and warm wandering around in the evening. The final of the college football is in town on Monday.
