      ... then another appears . . . and another . . . so it was not a problem!!! YEEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

      We made it to our hotel . . . and it was a very nice one . . . but there is another tour guide . . . running interference with the front desk on some problem . . . and it takes almost 20 minutes to get checked in . . . but I get a luggage cart to get our bags to the room . . . and we get something to eat (fast food tonight) . . . then turn in . . . or so we think . . . ...

      ... Clay seems to have taken a liking to a young girl with an accent. It is not southern or northern, but Australian. He loves to hear her speak. As midnight rolled around, Clay was playing DJ for the crowd. I understand the music was as loud as it would get. Go figure!?

      Tomorrow promises to be a great day; weather permitting. We are scheduled to take a helicopter ride onto the glaciers where we will ride a dog sled. I’m excited ...

      ... You can get a good idea of the steepness of the bluffs from the photo of Richard under the overhanging cliff.  Speaking of cliff, he'd better watch out for Gertrude and Heathcliffe. There are a number of eagles in the area - snapped a couple of photos just for an example.  Kind of tough to stay steady with the rocking waves and the digital zoom.  There was a slight wind on the way back and lots of waves from passing boats.  ...

      ... up in a ball and become a bitter old woman. Instead I chose to embrace life and to open myself up. And I am reaping the rewards.

      I never looked back after we left the restaurant. My son and I sang a silly song all the way home...and when I got back, my eyes fell on the plaque that is in my kitchen..."In the end what matters most is: How well did you live, How well did you love, How well did you learn to let go?".

      ... venison dinner Rex and I have ever had. The venison was raised on the island, and the way Jason prepared and cooked it was just stunning.


      We had a reasonably early night, as jason had to be up with the birds the next morning for the red-eye flight to Ft. Lauderdale. But it was hard for us to sleep knowing that each time we woke our time on the island was getting shorter.
