... absolutely stunning and more than I imagined and expected it would look like. Driving through telluride it's exactly how I imagined it to be cute vintage and hip shops made up the main high street, cute wooden homes and hotels dotted here and there and full of very hip, quirky and eccentric people. A place for those who are quite fond of the old Mary Jane ;) After a quick trip into the visitors centre to check out things to do for our free ...

... I sat in the hot tub for a little bit and then got some snacks at the hotel happy hour.

For dinner I went to La Cocina de Luz. You order at the counter and then choose a table and they deliver the food to the table. I got a carne asada burrito with green sauce, a salad and beans. I also got a margarita. Your meal also includes the chips and salsa bar which has several types of salsa to choose from. I liked the salsa that looked like a pico de gallo, but was much ...

... creepy without a proper light source. We made it to the end and turned back. Chris told me to walk with him in case something happened - he didn't want to be stuck in the mine alone. Fair enough!

I really enjoyed this part of the day because it wasn't planned at all after the box canyon falls and yet we found some really cool things to do. The part of the perimeter hike we did was really enjoyable with a variety of cool landscapes to explore.
