... then we found a primo dispersed camping spot overlooking a broad prairie and a trophy ranch. Surprisingly, we had cell phone coverage and caught up with our kids until the thunder became so loud, frequent and close no one could hear us! Quickly the winds blew ominous clouds our way, so we moved inside and enjoyed listening to the rain fall on Simba's roof as we planned the next stage of our meander: Rocky Mountain National Park!

... drive or get a shuttle to my final destination if I really needed to. I only wish United hadn’t cut their BOS to DEN flights so drastically this year for my travel period--only 1 flight on Saturday and no evening flights at all! It’s really a major cut for a route that used to have bunches of flights that all ran full--at least when I was on them!.

The flight to Denver took off 40 minutes late and while they made up time in the air, we landed at gate B16 ...

... on doing the Salomon Geisha but changed my mind at the last minute since we had no new snow. We went up the gondola and went over to Sunshine Peak to work on some carving drills. My instructor, being the salesman that he is, talked me into extending to the full day. He sweetened the pot by offering free lunch and two beers at the GPG later--plus I got a $5 off coupon for any of the stores owned by ski corp.
