Steamboat Lake Visit 1

Yeah, this is kind of a funny title I know. The story goes like this: We really like the look of Steamboat Lake State park, however we could only get two nights here. So we decided to take two nights here, leave for three nights and then come back.

... mountain. It took us nearly an hour to reach the top. All I can say is WOW!! I hope the pictures do it justice. We also went the extra 50 yards to see the "Spouting Rock." Totally worth it.

... groomed last night it doesn't take long to chop up. It's still very nice to board on, you can turn effortlessly in it and when you hit groomed areas there is hardly a sound, no swooshing like on icy runs.

Visit to the hot tub tonight and the temperature is down to 16 F, yes it's cold, with a low of 1 degree Fahrenheit expected (which is about -18 c), my water bottle at that the hot tub was freezing just sitting on the edge, more alcohol ...
