... which are excellent. Pat mentioned that we could stop on our way home as it is marshy and is maybe a good place for moose to hang out. It is moose hunting season. Apparently moose can only be hunted using a bow and arrow, and with a licence. The colours are spectacular. The aspens, cottonwood and willows are several shades of yellow and as the weather has been good, the leaves are still on the trees. The aspen trees vary in colour from yellow, orange, and green. ... Beckett out and rest for a bit, and then we got back on the bus around 6:00 to go to dinner. We asked a couple of the locals where to go to dinner and they both recommended the Ore Steakhouse. So that’s where we went, and we were very pleased. The restaurant is in an old barn that is 100 years old (left from a ranch that was here at the time). ... If I go next year I’ll have to do the Wed-Sat option which really is not enough time at the ranch. I’ll now need to reconsider whether it’s worth packing up and leaving Steamboat for just a 3 night/2 day stay at the ranch--and if I do decide I want to do that, I’ll have to hope that they have room the exact dates I need to do it. Time marches on and everything changes--most times not for the better in my opinion.

... find space on a run and the resort groomed more runs than usual allowing for crowds to disperse more quickly. The resort also opened "First Tracks" during the holidays (normally a privilege you need to pay for) to anybody with a pass. This lessened the Gondola wait time considerably.
