      When we got back to the camping ground, my smarty pants husband managed to reverse the van back into the exact same spot as before, complete with driving it up onto the chocks without any guidance from me! Insert applause here!!! Very impressive!

      ... this time to tour the Whitsunday Islands, finishing up on Whitehaven Beach. There are something like 90 islands in the group, some inhabited as resorts others not, but all very scenic. The jewel in the crown though, is Whitehaven Beach, an absolutely stunning wide bay with clear blue waters gently lapping onto a pure whitest of white sandy beach.
