One woman asked us what we had seen of Scottsdale. We laughed and said, "Absolutely nothing!" and felt no shame in that. I'm sure it is a beautiful city, but we needed some relaxation time and I think we were all tired of sightseeing in the desert. We have loved our time in the SW USA, but we are ready to move on. The B&B was lovely and the town a real old western small town that had once been the territorial capital of the Arizona Territory - before it was a state. We went to the famous Palace Saloon.

We played an 18 hole putting course, Karen and I sat in the sun by the pool while the guys golfed, and we wandered around Fountain Hills doing some shopping. We haven't begun to do it all. Which is why our itinerary changed. We will return here for 10 more days after MX and then go to Tucson. Ellis' home is beautiful. Their renovations are spot on. Pictures included ...
