      Dog culture

A travel blog entry by jchende on Jan 07, 2015

... our first step toward becoming dog people. We are now traveling with the dog ( another stupid idea - get a dog and then retire ) and are in need of a place to get the dog some activity so we can have less craziness at home. Enter the dog park. This is a whole new world to me, with many unwritten rules. 1. It is fine to forget the name of the person you have been introduced to and seen several times at trips ...

Walking back down the pier we were joined for a few moments by a Great Blue Heron. Very cool ...

... woods and open fields. We biked the 8 miles to the lovely town of Venice. We enjoyed riding along it's pretty waterways, viewing the small, locally owned shops in the old downtown area and riding the short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. We vowed to return to Venice in the future.

... leave Sarasota next Monday with a stop in Miami to update my Global Entry Card (new photo and fingerprints for Mrs. Nilbrink!)

We will spend the night in Fort Lauderdale and fly from there to Stockholm on Tuesday. Norwegian Airlines recently started a direct flight. We've booked Premium Class on their new Dreamliner. I'll take some photo and give you a review once we've ...
