For our final day in Utah I decided to take the kids to the sight of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Park City, about 20 miles from here. The first thing we saw on arrival was the training pool for aerials. There are 4 ramps, each with a different height, that the skiers go down to practice their tricks. The adults met for drinks at 8pm and listened to the string quartet which some typical orchestral tunes as well as odd Jimi Hendrix selections. It was a great meal for everyone, and we were very appreciative of the terrific company. ... and offered to take one of us both outside the Mormon church when I was concerned that he may flee with the iPad so was ready to give chase when Linz pointed out that he had a bible in his hand so I was "stood down" .

... the Nike World Headquarters. When we got there, we were stunned. The campus is huge, beautiful, and symmetrical. We walked through a few buildings, all of them named for a Nike athlete. When we got to the Nolan Ryan building, we met our guides, Gretchen and John. John was head of running specialty sales and Gretchen was the manager of Pacers. They were both great.
