Wednesday started cloudy and rainy so we had a lazy breakfast of hot croissants from the campsite restaurant - gorgeous! The weather got brighter and the cloud lifted and so we decided it was a good day to try some Via Ferrata Climbing. ... facilities though in true Hunt style). Then we spotted an ingenious use of the button lift (on what would be the nursery slopes in the winter) to pull grass-karts up the hill... It had to be done; Mike and Ben opting for the 'let's see how fast we can go' and the 'let's try it without using the brakes at all' style, and Ellie and I shared a kart with Ellie opting for the 'how do I stop' and 'can we go very slow' style! ... turning round as he said there was no way his scooter would make it up the hill with two of them on. While we were talking another Car and Caravan came into the rest area with both Caravan Wheels absolutely pouring smoke!! They looked really worried and started making phone calls, I was very glad it hadn't been us. We made it safely down to Innsbruck and then immediately back up again heading for the Brenner Pass and Italy. Back on ...

... at the top we saw that the walking tracks zig zagged the train tracks through the countryside and many walkers were using the train to break or extend their routes. In hindsight a train ticket would have added even more to the day. There are 2 further cable cars that travel up to 2260m, which would be great to explore, but we begin cycling ...

Hundreds of people visit this summit daily, but none are more impressive than the cyclists ( bicycle that is, not motorbike) The Italians are cyclist bad a**es. All ages go up this mountain daily and seem to love the challenge.
