I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. We had a very short uphill section from our overnight stop to rejoin the delightful road which runs over the Cisa pass, and then we were on our way. You will find during your travels through Western Europe that the Church is the major structure of most towns, villages, and cities. You will quickly learn the Church ( for the simplicity of this discussion, I will call any major Cathedral or Basilica in Western Europe--"the Church") is a great place to learn important information about the local history, see the classic art styles of earlier periods, and even take a needed ...

... our table was filled with complementary Italian nibbles such as olives, bruschetta, and crisps. It was at this point wevdecided that as long as we had an aperitivo every afternoon, we may never have to buy dinner in Italy :)

After an hour or so of people watching we went for a wander around the warren of cobbled streets. Losing our sense of direction at every turn added to the adventure of our Milan experience. ...
