... Can't see much from this hotel, but tomorrow we shall Romeo and Juliet to our hearts content.

Epilogue: Connor was just watching tv and there on the screen, coming to us live from Milan, is a huge open air rock concert. Right in front of the Duomo. That explains all the sound equipment we saw in the cathedral today - we had just through they got big crowds there for mass. Lucky we didn't get caught in that - methinks the Aunties would not have been impressed

... arrived from nowhere, and another jug of warmed milk. The Italians do know how to brew a good coffee. Even Connor has been enjoying a brew or two while here in Europe. This morning he decided to have a cappuccino, and later, at morning tea, an iced coffee (which turned out to be less with the ice cream and ice, and more of the 'made with cold water'. WE decided to drive to Bellagio (if you are looking at the map of Lake Como you will see that ...

The weather's still the same, beautiful, hot, sunny summer days, the language, the delicious food the cheap coffee are all still the same. The positive side to this change of scenery is that the area ...

    ... Naviglio district.
Charming area, great bohemean/hipster atmosphere. Bars, restaurants and cafés are spread along the Naviglio Pavese canal. Definately a place to have a drink or two! I enjoy a great risotto milanese and a glass of white wine, while people watching. I call in an early night in order not to jeopardise my main purpose of this trip tomorrow... SPA & Wellness!

... Germany.. Clean, nice people, beautiful homes and country. Bavaria still has the old German feel. I'm glad we only did two large cities (Rome and Berlin). They can be stressful. Soooo much history to take in. Italy was great too. Venice was the highlight for me. I'm glad we spent two nights at each place so we weren't always packing up. Each place we stayed, it seems like 2 days was about right to see what ...
