... and split off afterwards towards the Academia part of Venice - walking slowly home. So quiet away from the hotspots. Had rolls for lunch and shared a local quiche in a quiet square. Yummy. ... a lot smaller than I expected. The whole city is made up of sketchy alleyways without the sketchiness. Yet somehow it's still incredibly beautiful. Travel day today. Didn't stop Andrew taking dozens of photos I have to go through!! The scenery near the Austrian/ Italian border was amazing......tall rugged mountains topped with snow and rivers flowing with pale blue glacial water beside the road.
