We were interested to find out that the 27km circumference underground tunnel doesn't go under the mountains at all - just under the countryside near Geneva. Apparently it's 100m below the ground! We just finished the tour du Mont Blanc - 180km, 3 countries, 9 days! Also some sore feet by the end...
actually it was probably some of the nicest hiking we have ever done - stayed in some lovely hotels and mountain refuges, ate amazing food each day, good wine each night!
Think Andy was a bit de estates to be in Chamonix in summer rather than winter, but ...

... done so far. Then down... Surprisingly, my legs weren't feeling too bad. I think the skins work! Despite our less than enthusiastic start, today's riding was a vast improvement on yesterday's.
