... The Dubai stopover was for two hours so we had time to look around. Even at 7am the terminal was buzzing with activity. We certainly gave that Maccas store some trade. Although I’m not sure what the bacon substitute was on my Egg McMuffin? Tofaken?

... it was a joke. The shade was a hot commodity and anywhere that had large amounts of it also contained large amounts of tourists. I loved all of the cafes and colourful gelato shops. I wanted to eat at every one of them - the food looked so good. I especially loved the busy Piazzas, my favourites being the Piazza Navona and the Piazza del Popolo.
