Wales and England - AMAZING. We arrived on Friday 16th October. We launched straight into sightseeing mode and went directly to the Roman Baths in Bath. What a groovy town Bath is. The next day was the Dr Who Experience in Cardiff. This probably rated as James' most favourite tourist attraction. That afternoon Paul and James went to the Semi Final of New Zealand v France. Our country v The Country we live in. The rest is history. ...

... Club game in the weekend. It's well funded and even the Under 11 year olds have their own permanent changing rooms. This means the gear stays there all week and never comes home. No stinky Ice Hockey Bag at home anymore. Paul and I have plunged ourselves into learning French over the last 6 weeks. Paul will be super fluent by the time we leave! My fitness has taken a back step but we are generally doing one track run per week and then a hike ...

That might be a hard ...

It’s raucous and loud, with plenty of meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables offered according to the season and the prevailing harvest.Unfortunately food seldom lasts a week (for some reason French carrots only last a few days) and come Monday I find myself obliged to return to see the lovely ladies behind the Fromager counter in Les Houches and linger some more before their ...

After a light breakfast at our hotel we headed off on our day trip to Chamonix Mont Blanc. On the way we spotted a rest area which specifically had panoramic views of Mont Blanc so we stopped there for a rest stop. It seems my trip to china got me into training for using the rest area squats toilets! We started seeing signs regarding a Mont Blanc tunnel ahead at 50klm and with our destination at 51klm wondered if we were going through. Then came the signs ...
