Today is wet and drizzle. We leave to day to go to Fontenay.just had brecky...so un exciting croissants,bread,jams,warm tea. We are so spoilt in NZ.! Showers were Luke warm. Quickest shower I ever had!. But I must admit these old buildings are so beautiful. Sleeping in them gives you a sense of what it was like. On the boat now. Had all our instructions issued. Girls have waddled off to do some shopping. Had to buy some yummy eclairs to eat on the way back ...

This is our hotel room. Small and pokey. All these photos I called " from" is for Plombieres les-Bains.this is where the train took us from Dijon to Plombieres les-Bains. Beautiful old place. Lots of Roman features! Just come back from dinner. Very nice. Lou shouted a bottle of champagne to celebrate the start of our journey!. Weather a bit drizzle. Hope it clears up for our canal ...

The blue painted stripe was very soft and had not stuck to the white hull paint, so it would just lift when a fender rubbed against it or even a hose to wash down the hull. The toughest of all days: 73km AND the Ballon d'Alsace
in drizzling rain and fog (you don't even get the paronamic view you think to deserve for this deep ascent)
The Hotel is quite ******. But if you are all wet and tired, it doesn't matter anyways.
