We left our luxurious campsite reluctantly and are now back in France where our adventure began. The drive was long, but interesting. We passed by Lake Constance which looked very nice as a place to visit. The Zepplin was invented there and there are museums and airship rides! We saw two airships over the lake. That afternoon we went our separate ways, Dean and I headed back north to Gerardmer to collect his ...

... wandering back down the hill I noticed what was pay dirt to me. A disposed water bottle turfed to the road side. I dashed the last meters to make sure I was first there. Sadly the team Katiowa bottle had been ridden over, showing it's battle scar of a large crack. A local having seen my enthusiasm pointed out another bottle nearby still intact from the Movistar team. Cherished with my find I held it skyward, neglecting to drink its final contents. As if my day wasn't big ...

... a pub to watch the end of the tour, 4 beers later we decided to ride back up to our hotel. 400 vertical metres. With the beers under the belt it made it an interesting ride. We then caught up with Dave Hollicks and Marc Ransome, showered and headed back to Munster for dinner at la dolce vita, yet again fantastic meal and very reasonably priced. Now time for bed, watched Germany defeat Argentina in the soccer.....Sleep ...
