... me, attended the award ceremony and dinner in one of the town's halls, the salle des fetes. What a fun night it turned out to be. The proceedings were entirely in French, and all competitors received a hamper of local produce (wine, cheese and sausages/salami) and other bits and pieces contributed by local businesses, knitted hats or t-shirts, tubes of sun screen, etc etc. After champagne and nibbles and our 4 course buffet dinner, ...

With suit cases (saturday is change over day in all hotels) so funicular just left as it was full
No ski school so no ducklings

Last day and amazing day blue sky and warm 12 a little busy but not too ...
... ride across the valley. 1st ski run steep and solid ice we all hated it , off up the top to the wide open spaces and much drier snow. We took the gondola from Belle Plagne to the top of the Roche De Mio at 2700m, from here we stop for a drink before carrying on down the Tunnel run which actually has a 70metre long tunnel that you have to ski through. Quite freaky as there are dim lights inside ...
... and we've been told how busy it gets in B-S-M, so it seemed like a good time to take a few days off.
