    A fortified village in another stunning location, is France really this good?!!! Had a busy day and relaxed for a beer in a local bar before heading back to Herman and some garlic prawns and French Bread that was delicious... A funny day really as it was 33 years since Giles' mum passed away, so we shared a few moments remembering her, God bless! ...

    Stopping here was not the intended stop but it's been worthwhile. A lovely walk around the village, took two important phone calls, used the La Poste and had ourselves a fabulous Tuna/Gorgonzola Salad..! Now off to the original place back on ...

    After leaving Fources we drove 20mins to Condom where we have found another free Aire to spend the rest of the day and night.     ... did, well we arrived at this Aire and who should drive in 30mins later, Steve and Sue, the Aire they were going to they just didn't fancy and from all the Aires around they choose this one..! We went for a walk a minute into the village at 5.30pm and the late afternoon beer turned into Beer, Wine, Dinner and a Brandy Night Cap..! Boy what a lovely meal tho and a nice treat in an 'appropriate location' and good ...

    ... canal is now all underground, but accessible in parts.

    There is a large, free car park at the waterfront, paved with rough stones placed on-edge, and it is pretty rough walking. There is a traditional river craft pulled up at the bank, and another one under reconstruction on the hard stand. We walk back to the restaurant via interesting streets.
