    ... including our apartment. It's so awesome to be able to walk out of our quiet building and walk 3-4 blocks and see the astronomical clock and tower. Each hour on the hour a mechanical show is presented. A skeleton rings a bell and these metal sculptures rotate around a window. At the end, a cock crows. A large crowd gathers for each hourly show.

    The buildings here are magnificent, and I can hardly complain that the rest of the world ...

    The day started very early as we needed to catch the water bus at 0630 to the airport for our flight to Paris then onto Prague. It was lovely seeing Venice from the water and so early in the morning as not too many people were up and around. Took a few photos as we past different spots like st. marks square.
