... left out of twenty two. It was largely washed away by the Rhône River which is wide and fast moving and subject to flooding. In fact the area is on red alert for tomorrow because a lot of heavy rain is expected. It is possible to go onto the bridge but I thought I'd rather view it from along the bank. I had to cross a busy road to do so but I got a good look at it and spent about 40 minutes sketching part of it. Then it was time for me ...

Upspin by Agents of Good Roots always reminds ...

... end. Well 4 1/4 tonnes does not work well on grass, so we did the filling and emptying thing - wearing waterproofs which aren't in rain that heavy, and moved on. Bagnols sur Ceze isn't the prettiest town I've ever visited, but it provided a good secure and level park for the night. Plenty of shops and the rain did eventually stop in the early evening. But it was a noisy aire. You don't want pictures of rain - do ...

... flight to Marseilles scheduled to leave at 8 a.m., and join a crush of travellers desperate to make their connecting flights on time. The German immigration officers appear oblivious to our incessant watch checking. Our security line moves comme un escargot, and then stops completely. Finally released from scrutiny, we begin the frantic dash to the gate, jostling carry-ons, camera bags, and anyone who gets in our way, The signs ...
