... meeting point for our day trip to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. As it turns out, it takes about 3.5 hrs to get to the park from Split, whereas it would only take about 2 hrs from Zagreb. There were 2 other couples in our group, who all happened to be from Australia. Plitvice Lakes was magical with its layers of lakes and waterfalls and clear torquise waters. If you're going to Prague just a few words of caution regarding restaurants. If you go to a restaurant that has pretzels or peanuts they will definitely charge you if you eat them, but sometimes they charge you even if you didn't touch them! We had an unexpected day in Prague due to booking an overnight train to Krakow, Poland. We spent the day relaxing and taking in the city.
