... to upgrade our hire car to a Classic Italian Alfa Romeo Giuletta ( or similar) was a complete wast of time and we ended up with a citroen C3 Picasso. Not at all similar !! I will be taking this up with the hire company on our return. Other than that it has been a fantastic ten days which as Kate keeps on reminding me was all booked by her.... Except the car hire! Mary and I went exploring in Verona today and what a rewarding day it was. I think I mentioned last time that we were looking forward to seeing more beautiful churches here and indeed we have. That said the real discovery today was what was literally just beneath the surface.

We said goodbye to the baby sitters, Uncle Anthony (Jungle Gym) and Aunty Tracy (Just a Girl). They went to Florence for 4 days, Tuscany region. Thanks again to them for popping round to baby sit.
