      ... was doing a roaring trade with packaged 1kg rounds of Gouda. Not sure if we can take cheese into NZ. Most of the windmills were working, one crushed stuff to make dyes/pigments, another crushed peanut shells to make oil and another was a sawmill. I think they were for show.       ... Suriname is a country in South America that was colonised by the Dutch and as such there is a lot of Surinese influences in the Netherlands, of which Roti based meals are a bit of a staple.       Happy Birthday Sean! After breakfast on the boat we headed out to the Dapper markets, not far from here, good to see as very much a local market full of fresh fruit, every day bits and pieces and heaps of fish mostly smoked! From the markets we caught the tram to find the Heineken experience, to the west of the centre of town, bit of a walk after jumping off the tram.
