The empty parking lot made us hesitant at what to expect but were once again pleasantly surprised at both the decor and the fare. As we enjoyed our meal a sense of relaxation finally washed over us, giving us the sense that we were on vacation at last. The meal was topped off with a shot of limoncello and made our way back to the house, exhausted but happy that our nightmare was behind us. We were ...

An introduction to Pescara (Part III)

... I laughed with surprise at his recall of me. He said, "Of course, I remember you, and Luca asks of you all the time. 'Has Tim been back?'" I laughed and recalled the visit last November when Luca and I sang Ben Harper tunes (badly) in tandem. We visited briefly and I got seated. I looked over at Debbie who had a sweet smile that bore little surprise. She was torn between whether to be amazed that someone I met ten months ago would immediately recognize me or to figure ...
