... not pack light. I assumed a position next to the baggage storage and we created a fireman's chain to move bags. By the time we started loading it was nearly 8:30 and the train was leaving at 8:45 with our without us. It was a painstaking process to load the bags, but we did it as quickly as possible. Our group was all crowded around the entrance to car 6 much to the chagrin of the other passengers waiting to board. Three times an official at the train station told us to ...

... a guy's hands and go flying out to sea. I got sand in my eyes, ears, and am still chewing on sand.
By the bus ride back, I was pretty tired but I knew I would have to hurry to make my next train. Then I had a the 2 hour train ride but I coudn't rest yet. I had a tough situation on the horizon. I booked my overnight train from Paris to Nice a week ago, it was set to leave at 10:25PM. My train from Rennes got in at 9:07PM at a different train station. Plenty of time to get from ...

      The Money in Monaco

There is so much of it there. Where else can you see a Bentley, followed by a Lamborghini, followed by an Aston Martin, followed by a Ferrari driving down the street? I now know what obscene wealth looks like.

We actually had to take a tender into the port from the cruise ship. We almost didn't stop in Monaco because there were 30 foot swells in the morning and the Captain didn't want to risk having any of his passengers falling out of the tender. But ...
