Otherwise the town was quite a surprise. It was a lot more low key than we expected but very nice all the same. When you look across the bay you see the snow covered Alps in the background. We had yet another very nice lunch at a Sports bar on Place des Lyces that was very ...

... one. I was VERY surprised, and pleased to have enjoyed it as a bonus.

We caught the bus to the Casino, and walked from there back to the harbor area, had an overpriced meal that was something to forget at some removable restaurant that probably only got placed back there last week after the Monaco Grand Prix. We checked out the timing line on the track as well as pit lane, walked a few more streets and admired some yachts that a lottery win probably wouldn't buy us. "Tres" ...

There is so much of it there. Where else can you see a Bentley, followed by a Lamborghini, followed by an Aston Martin, followed by a Ferrari driving down the street? I now know what obscene wealth looks like.

We actually had to take a tender into the port from the cruise ship. We almost didn't stop in Monaco because there were 30 foot swells in the morning and the Captain didn't want to risk having any of his passengers falling out of the tender. But ...
