... The diamonds, necklaces, rings, and crowns were so beautiful and I wish I could've taken them all home! On the other hand, my sisters favorite part was the insect zoo and butterfly exhibit. The girls enjoyed holding a Madagascar hissing cockroach (yuk!) and other creatures of that sort. Definitely not for me! Overall spending a day at the Smithsonian Museum was fun and educational. I hope we can return soon to go to the other Smithsonian museums and see more of Washington ...

... had taken it all in, with the inside of the Lincoln memorial particularly poignant, it was time to round the day of with a few more museums. The holocaust museum was certainly worth the visit, although was not overly impressive. ... were specifically aiming for the Albert Einstein Planetarium for two 30 min movies, Dark Universe and Journey to the Stars projected onto a huge dome with a blend of real & computer-generated images.
