... a short trip to the Sunshine Coast in a few weeks before returning to the Gold Coast to prepare to leave at the end of November for a leisurely trip south, ending in Melbourne to board the ferry. Even though this blog was originally started for our 'big birthday' trip we have decided that we will continue to use it and update it from time to time with our 'adventures'.

We spent the night on a beachtown named Cabarita (i think anyway). We woke up and saw how ginormous the waves were and decided to give it a try on the boogie board again. Some of the waves were over 15 feet high and I was constantly getting destroyed. I took one wave pretty good on the board but other than that it was 2 hours of pain and humiliation. ... to eat cocoa puffs and write in my journal and watch soccer. Then I went back to my room, climbed up to bed, and read and did Sudoku for a while, then passed out. I left Rent playing all night (a good choice as the train goes by all night) and the lights on, since one of the roommates was still out. I remember rolling over quite a number of times and the light was still on, but when I woke up this morning the lights were out and the roommate in, so I guess I must have missed that step.
