    ... traffic lights, here people stand in the sweltering heat (95F) holding signs with one side "slow" and the other side "stop". It took a bit longer to get to the beach, but we had enough protection with us to keep us from getting sunburnt.     ... million dollar homes. There are also lots of gated communities with fancy dancy entrances - think mini Vegas! We had a very pleasant stroll around the shops & wondered how all the restaurants could ever make it. Well after watching sunset at the beach we drove back along 5th Avenue to marvel at all the full restaurants that were empty only 2 hours before.
