... up the wrong path when I was very close to my resupply location at Reds Meadow. I ended up finding a large cascading waterfall but I was not impressed with it nor myself. I added six miles and three hours to my 20 plus mile hike.
My excursion with wet boots and socks badly blistered my feet and put lots of wear and tear on my knees and ankles. I limped into Reds Meadow to resupply, reassess my gear, and ...

Apparently so many as a result of too much experimenting with LSD in the 60s and 70s. Definitely love the city though, it's so much more laid back than other American cities, even the cops are more relaxed (one a bit too relaxed and drove into someone's parked car). ... of snow surrounding us. Elaine took Cheryl and me on a car tour of Twin Lake Falls, Mamie Lake, Horseshoe Lake ( damaged trees all around due to CO2 in the soil), Lake George and views of Crystal Crag. It's amazing to think the Paiute Indians had this beautiful area to themselves for thousands of years. Our finale dinner was at the Gibbings/Landis condo and a great time was had by all!!

The author hopes we can do it all again real soon!!
