... and although was off the pass, my brain couldnt comprehend that there were no drops on the edge of the road. We eventually get to the outskirts of Mammoth Lakes, and I was driving along when I see something on the road. I swerved, but to be honest, I think I overcompensated because of the day that I had, and managed to not hit a coyote on the road. We eventually got home, and I couldn't have been more happy!

... but after doing all that it was really hard, it was to a lake which had dried up!haha. phil did get some pics of half dome though. We had showers at curry village (a campsite, which we found out a few weeks later had a disease from rats which had killed people, the time we were there, so of course once i found this out i also had the disease!)
We did a 13 mile walk the next day , a loope of the national park grounds. God my back hurt after that. It was through forest and meadow ...

... us printed maps from Mapquest for each day of the trip but we knew that these would change as we went along. So we always have a draft plan for the day and then there is what we do or what happens and they may not be the same thing!

Drive through Yosemite Valley to the CA-120 which runs over the Sierra Nevada mountains through Tuolumne Meadows and the Tioga Pass to the US-395 to Lee Vining. According ...

... the motels in the area (driving in the snowy conditions wasn't fun) we settled for the Swiss Chalet which was quite basic but had great views and was close enough to town for us to walk there. Turns out the tyre thing was mandatory - oops.
