Raft it!

... jumped in the van back to the whitewater rafting offices. Once we were back in our warm clothes and got our pictures the van dropped us back at the hostel where we had an hour to grab some lunch before the magic bus was the due to pick us up. On the way out of Rotorua the magic bus stopped at the Zorbing center. We had already been out there a few weeks previously and decided not to do it as it looked pretty **** and overpriced. A few people off the bus decided to do ...

Tauranga- Breeding Ground for Eco Terrorists

... place, so here I shall remain. In the morning I get some coffee and watch the suits pass by and marvel at weird Kiwi you-can-make-anything-out-of-grey-sweat pants-lets-bring-back-flashdance fashion. The plan is to get a bike and ride to Mt Maunganui beach. ...After a few hours of walking around and asking bike shops, I recognize my complete failure on the bike getting front and take the bus. The ride gives view to massive timber and tractor factories and tin roofed ...

11 Feb......Sorry for the late update guys

... enjoying it and attempted it 2 more times. I make a second jump and decide to call it a day. It is already 2000 hrs and was really hungry already. We cook a real simple dinner, spaghetti, baked bean with eggs and ham. A real heavy one but it was relaxing to enjoy the meal and the night breeze makes it better. She borrowed my computer to sort out her photos, I went to bed to catch up on my reading but instead I felt asleep in less than 5 min.

Birthday and Such...

... sushi! SO GOOD! Had 3 different kinds with chicken, avocado, crab, prawn, and lettuce. YUM! Then we came back had my version of pistachio cheesecake (with cocoa bits of cereal as the base, and chocolate pudding instead of pistachio), drank and the went dancing. I made this t-shirt and drew some maple leaves and the number 20 on it for people to sign as we went from bar to bar. So I've got a lot of random signatures from kiwi's! I've also handed ...

... sights! The weather was great today, we went along to Hot Water Bay hoping to arive at the right point where you dig a big hole in the sand and enjoy the hot water. Unfortunatly it has to be at low tide at 2.37pm and we arived at 11am - so we didnt do that. Instread we went body surfing on increadible waves - Edd was pretty good and I got wiped out several times - it was very cool though! There are loads of others hiring vans ...

My Favourite Holiday

... A beautiful white sand beach, of course that is part of why we went there, right by the beach what could be a better holiday! We set up Camp, then ran down to see our Holiday Beach! Yes we were going to Swim, Fish & walk along the beach on this holiday and that is exactly what we did! The children played on the beach and in the campgrounnd, the facility offered ...

Tauranga

... arrived in Tauranga, but as our maps didn't have the new bypass on them, we ended up 10 blocks away in the centre of town, so instead of an easy route in, we found ourself zig zagging around the town trying to find our Motel. We were impressed with the town centre though, everything you need, even loads of girls clothes shops, so Emma would be happy here ! We eventually found the Motel and checked into their ...

Mt Maunganui

... gorgeous and fairly empty beaches, where beautiful blue water litters the soft sands with shells....and really pretty shells too, which Lauren in particular liked! We climbed Mt Maunganui to watch the sunset on Valentines day....us three ladies and a bottle of wine (thanks to Lauren who secretly carried it up the mountain and produced it at the top with a smile!). The walk to the ...

Happy 2008!!

... from over there and an Australian. That made a total of 7 although when we first started on a bbq there were 6 of us. As everyone knows, that's perfect for a game of flip cup. Flip cup? Yes, it's the drinking game craze that's storming the new year parties on Seaspray Road. It's simple genius can't be faulted. Get yourself a picnic table, or perhaps cover a favourite table and remove any chairs so that the players can be fully dynamic. Split in to ...

Baking our bodies in the sun

We decided our next destination would be Tauranga and Mt Maunganui (twin towns on the East cost of the North Island) and the reason was that we had the crazy idea of working again. The last time we worked was in Sykes on the 31.08.07 and we were wondering if we could do it after all this time off! Sometimes travelling is as hard as working though...

We wanted to try something else than an office job...In the end we ...
